    What is a Voltage Tester?

Voltage Testers are electronic devices with an amplified signal that may detect changes in the electric field around AC-energized items. No direct metallic contact with the circuit is required to establish the findings. A non-contact voltage tester is used to indicate if power is off without touching any wires.

Voltage is detected in cables, cords, circuit breakers, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and wires, as well as AC voltage in doorbells, thermostats, low voltage lighting, and irrigation systems. Both visual and audio signals are included.

    SAFETY FIRST:

To avoid any possible electric shock or injury, please keep the following in mind:

    • If the tester is not used according to the instructions, the protection function, provided by the tester, may be compromised or become ineffective.

    • If the voltage tester does not turn on, do not use it.

    • To make sure that the voltage tester is in good working condition, please test it on an electrified power supply first.

    • Even if there is no display or sound alarm when using the tester, the voltage may still be present. It only indicates the valid voltage when there is power voltage that is generating an electrostatic field with sufficient intensity. If the field intensity is very weak, the tester cannot detect the voltage.

    • The voltage detection may be affected by several factors, such as shielded wires/cables, insulation layer thickness, and type, distance from the voltage source, complete insulator, socket design difference, etc.

    • Please do not use the product if it has signs of damage or if it does not work properly.

    • Check the device before using it; if it is damaged do not use it. If you suspect a problem, please send it right away for repair.

    • Please do not use a voltage that is higher than the rated voltage on the tester.

    • When testing a voltage above 30V AC, exercise extreme caution because such a level might cause electric shock.

    • Follow safety rules as directed by local or national authorities and wear appropriate protective equipment when using the tool.

    Operating Instructions:

    • Turning ON/OFF: Press and hold the power button for more than 1 second; the buzzer will sound, all of the indicator lights will flash once, and the system will enter the test mode. If it is turned ON, long-press the power switch button to turn it OFF.

    • High/Low Sensitivity Switch: The default setting is the low sensitivity test mode. Press the ON/OFF button / sensitivity (less than 1 second) to switch between high and low sensitivity. It is in the high sensitivity test mode when the sensitivity indicator light is ON. It is in the low sensitivity test mode when sensitivity indicator light is OFF.

    • Flashlight - press flashlight button to turn it ON, press again to turn it OFF

    • AC Voltage Detection - When you place the probe of the tester near an AC voltage source, the signal indicator light will turn ON, the sensitivity indicator light will turn ON, and the buzzer's beep will speed up or slow down depending on the signal strength.

Note: When you need to test the neutral and live wires that are near each other try to test them separately; if they cannot be separated, identify based on the detected signal intensity. The live wire is the one that has a strong signal, while the neutral wire has a weak signal.

    991274-200.jpgFlashlight Function

    • You can use the flashlight function to provide convenience for working in the dark.
    • Press the flashlight button to turn it ON. Press again to turn it OFF.
    • Flashlight turn OFF automatically after 3 minutes if no inductive signal or operation is detected.

    • Easy-to-carry
    • Lightweight and compact tool
    • Comes with a pen-holder / pocket clip, you can carry it in your pocket

    Low Power Indicator

    • power indicator blinks if the battery is under-voltage
    • if below 2.3 V, tester will shut down automatically
    • replace the batteries right away once an under-voltage warning appears

    Dual Sensitivity Range

Press the ON/OFF button / sensitivity (less than 1 second) to switch between high and low sensitivity.

High Sensitivity Range: 12V to 1000V AC: sensitivity indicator light is ON, buzzer sound speed up
Low Sensitivity Mode: 48V to 1000V AC: sensitivity indicator light is OFF, buzzer sound slow down

Press the ON/OFF button / sensitivity (less than 1 second) to switch between high and low sensitivity.

    AC Voltage Detection

When the tester is near AC voltage source:

    • signal indicator light will turn ON
    • sensitivity indicator light will turn ON
    • buzzer's beep will speed up or slow down depending on the signal strength.

    Non Contact Voltage Detection

    • There is no need to directly touch the wires to check AC Voltage.
    • When testing neutral and live wires near each other, identify based on the detected signal intensity.

    - live wire has a strong signal
    - neutral wire has a weak signal
