Great for beginners
Excellent kit for those who have never soldered before (like me). I have successfully soldered very small, close-together joints in electronics using this kit. The iron has worked perfectly so far. The solder sucker doesn't work perfectly reliably (which might not be unusual for solder suckers - I don't know), since solder gets stuck inside the tip, and when there's too much in the tip, it doesn't suck any more solder in. I've managed to push the solder through the tip a few times, thus clearing it for further use. The little stand is very lightweight, so you have to make sure that it's on a solid surface and that the soldering iron's cord isn't hanging off of the surface on which you're working, since otherwise the stand will slide around and won't be a safe thing to rest your iron upon. But with those caveats, this is a great kit, and incredible for the low price!
Good Deal for Good Product
Worked fine and was able to understand the instructions. Allowed me to repair the mother board on my Kenmore Elite Dryer for $9.99 plus tax rather than paying a few hundred dollars for a new mother board.

Best Well Thought Out Soldering Starter Kit
This an incredbly impressive kit. Hell of a starter kit for someone who doesn't have anything to start with. I was given this to work in a pinch, and I was impressed by how well the iron works for such an inexpensive iron. I've used more expensive ones and they were worthless. Thought this was going to being another worthless one until I realized that it has a temperature control knob. I adjusted it and it worked great. Also, needed heat shrink tubing and it had plenty of various sizes and even a pump to suck out old solder. I would pay a few bucks more if it came in a plastic case that holds everything instead of a cardboard box. Very impressive kit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for one.

This kit did exactly what I needed it to do for an unbeatable pr
I have only had this Plusivo Soldering iron kit for just a few days, and have only used it for about an hour. I can say that even if it stopped working right now, it would have already paid for itself(12$). I was able to replace a couple of capacitors in a flat screen TV, wire a webcam from a laptop to a USB cable, and replace a headphone jack on two pair of headphones. I got this because I needed a smaller tip iron for the headphone jack repair. I will say that one should avoid running the iron at full temp for extended periods with the small tip. I recommend reducing temp until ready to use and reducing temp while idle. The small tip easily becomes deformed, but still functions. The solder sucker actually works great, I have braid but used the included tool and it performed perfectly. They include a generous amount of shrink wrap, which I used on the headphones. I think it adds a clean finish. I guess the only thing missing is some flux, but for the low price I really can't complain. Even without it, the solder included in the kit adhered fine, I am pretty sure it is a hollow core with rosin. I would definitely recommend this product for convenience and performance.
