Perfect little kit and soldering iron
Love it.. it’s easy to use and comes with everything in the kit. The soldering iron is about as thick as a fat permanent marker making it light and not big making it easier to solder harder to get to wires.

Worked well, heated up fast. Tip could be better. The stand is only ok. But for a beginner it’s a good deal. Wish it came with lead solder, its easier to use especially for a beginner.
Works for poking holes into plastic containers!
Works exactly what I need it for which is to poke holes into plastic containers to turn them into plant pots. I do recommend doing it outside as it is bad to breathe in plastic fumes. It heats up fast and I use it on the lowest setting.

Works great for a bargain item!
I soldered 2 leads back on my metal detector switch with the iron yesterday and it performed admirably. It's designed for electronic work (hence the thin solder wire and point, but it did fine with a 12G wire and a switch terminal. Heats up fast, and worked as advertised. I recommend this item.

Worked great! And it was my first time soldering!
Super easy, but I'm glad I watched a few youtube videos before I got started. My solar bulb had a red wire come off its solder, so I paid $10 for this kit so I could fix it, and any that break in the future. I don't have the clamps, so I had to use tape to try and keep the end I was soldering, in the place where I needed it to be, because one hand was holding the solder gun, and the other hand had the metal solder coil it in. Wasn't sure how to use the resin, so I didn't use it. I did begin and end by putting a little of the metal solder stuff on the tip of the gun, that much I learned from the videos. Wasn't sure what temp to use. Also, use a mask, as when the solder gun touches the solder coil, a lot of dark smoke comes up. Overall, easy and fun and worked great!
